How it works

A reverse mortgage in plain English.

A reverse mortgage lets Australian homeowners aged 60 and over access some of the equity in their home — without selling and without monthly repayments. You keep living in your home, you keep your name on the title, and the loan is repaid when the home is eventually sold.

We compare lenders for you

Interest rates, fees and loan features compared across multiple lenders, structured to fit your needs.

4

Settlement, on your terms

Funds as a lump sum, regular instalments, line of credit, or any combination. You stay in your home.

What we do

About Paul

Two decades of advising senior Australians. Referred by bank staff and brokers who know who to trust.

Paul Dwyer has spent more than 20 years specialising in one thing: helping older Australians make confident decisions about the equity in their family home.

Based in Carnegie, Victoria, Paul has assisted thousands of senior Australians and self-funded retirees with reverse mortgages, aged-care loans, refinances and equity release. Bank staff and other mortgage brokers regularly refer their own clients to Paul — because reverse mortgages need a specialist, not a generalist.

Paul takes a holistic view. Conversations cover the loan, yes, but also the pension, estate planning, future care needs and the family conversation. Decisions about your home are decisions about the rest of your life — and Paul treats them that way.

Your questions, answered

The questions senior Australians ask us most.

If you can't find your question here, call Paul on 03 9563 3442 — he'll happily walk through it on the phone.

Yes. Your name stays on the title, just like a traditional mortgage. The lender simply registers an interest in the property — they don't own it.
